Am Abend hat die smarte Chefin Annette Winkler die smart times 2017 mit dem „Welcome of the Nations“ als eröffnet erklärt. Vorweg wurden noch einige Clubs zelebriert und anschließend die Nationen begrüßt.
Wie immer hat die smarte Chefin mit bester Laune am Abend alle Fans aus der ganzen Welt Willkommen geheissen. Sie nutzte die Gelegenheit um sich bei allen Fans die smart Jahr für Jahr unterstützen zu bedanken.

Alle 31 Nationen wurden anschließend einzeln auf die Bühne gerufen und durften dem Publikum Ihr Motto mitgeben.

Zum Schluss waren dann alle 31 Nationen gemeinsam auf der Bühne und beendeten den Abend mit schwenkenden Fahnen.
